Dunham Bush, a global leader in technological solutions for refrigeration, heating and other industrial applications, is entering the Philippine market with its offer of ‘green air-conditioning’ and refrigeration systems as well as green energy options that will not only bring in cost benefits to end-users but will likewise help reduce their carbon footprints.

In this era where sustainability and energy-efficiency have been emerging as catchphrase for businesses, D.B International Sales and Services William Guido noted that opportunities for environmentally-friendly solutions are increasing, and that’s where they are coming in to serve the need of prospective customers. DBI is the exclusive distributor of Dunham-Bush green cooling solutions in the Philippine market.

“We believe that the Philippine market will find great potential in our solutions. The time is right for building and infrastructure owners and developers to consider long-term inverstments that will permanently reduce their operating expenses – in this case, power requirements,” he said.

For buildings to take the “green alternative”, he noted that there are various ways to do it, such as partnering with energy service companies (ESCOs); and incentives are also there to underpin it, primarily those provided under the Renewable Energy Act of 2008.

He also noted the banks’ growing awareness into supporting such initiatives, especially with the introduction of the Sustainable Energy Financing Program (SEFP) being spearheaded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank group.

In the array of solutions offered by Dunham-Bush for the Philippine market, one is the CO2 (carbon-dioxide) refrigeration system, which the company claims “would be an ideal alternative” to ammonia refrigeration systems for cold storage, blast freezing and food processing.
