Kapuso actress Iza Calzado recently attended an event with a date: Atticus King, grandson of hotelier Angelo King.

In an interview, Iza said she prefers going out with non-showbiz men “so I could have a life separate from my showbiz life.
 
“I just want to have that option, that side of life,” she said.

Iza confessed that she had second thoughts replacing Sunshine Dizon in “StarStruck V” as Council member.

“[I told them] ‘Plantsahin niyo muna ‘yan bago ko tanggapin kasi ayokong mapalaki pa ‘yung issue between us [Sunshine].

“[But] I was given an opportunity to have more work, [and] when I really thought about it, sinabi ko na wala naman sigurong masama. It’s something that I’ve never done before, [and because] always I want to try something new, tinanggap ko,” Iza said.

John Estrada keeps his cool for his kids

Actor John Estrada said his children with Janice de Belen pacified him for her recent statements about his shortcomings as a father.

“Pagpasensiyahan ko [daw] ang mom nila, baka bad mood lang,” said John on “Startalk.”

Janice’s recent Facebook message alleged that John does not fulfill his financial obligations to his children.

Jay R and Krissa Mae more than friends

R&B Prince Jay R and model-host Krissa Mae sing sweet music nowadays with a relationship that she describes as “more than friends.”

“We’re really close. He’s like my best friend,” Krissa Mae said.

Jay R cemented her statements. “Yeah, you can say that [I am courting her]. We enjoy each other’s company,” he said.

Krissa revealed that Jay R has introduced himself to her family in the US.

“That showed na hindi niya tinatago whatever intention he has [for me],” she shared.

She describes Jay R as the “show much, tell little” type.

“Instead of saying words, he shows how sweet he is, how thoughtful [he is]. Hindi niya ko pinababayaan. There’s nothing bad I can say about him,” she said.
