A barangay tanod allegedly shot dead his girlfriend before committing suicide inside the house of the woman’s employer in Sta. Mesa, Manila, Saturday morning.

Police said Flordeliza Laurel, 49, died from a bullet wound in the head allegedly inflicted by Guillermo Araojo, 59, barangay tanod. Araojo then committed suicide by shooting his head, police said.

Police said the suspected murdersuicide case happened at the house of Laurel’s employer, Myra Ferrer, 36, on 3643 Lingayen St., Bacood, Sta. Mesa, Manila at 7 a.m.

Ferrer told police that she heard Araojo talking to Laurel before she heard shots fired.

“Flor, hindi ko matatanggap ang ginawa mo, handa akong pumatay at mamatay,” Ferrer quoted Araojo as telling Laurel before the shooting.

Before to the incident, Ferrer said Araojo arrived in her house and looked for Laurel.
