Charice impresses Justin Timberlake
International sensation Charice not only met but made a big impression on her celebrity crush, Justin Timberlake, during the CS Board of Governors Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles.
“Nung una po nanigas po ako. Ininvite po ako nung coordinator sa event para kumanta para kay Sir Justin. After ko kumanta [ay] nag-speech po siya tapos nag-usap po kami,” recalled the Filipino singer, grinning.
She said the pop star congratulated her and then he turned to her producer, David Foster, and said, “Where did you find this girl?”
Meanwhile, Charice watered down comparisons between her and her best friend, Rhap Salazar, who is likewise rising to international stardom with his recent appearance in Ellen de Generes’ show.
“For me lang po, wala naman pong dapat ipag-kumpara. Wala naman po akong dapat i-react kasi friends po kami at super proud ako sa kanya,” said Charice.
Cristine Reyes almost drowned in pool
Actress Cristine Reyes almost drowned in a swimming pool while filming the scene for her upcoming TV show with Jake Cuenca, “Precious Hearts Romances Presents: My Cheating Heart.”
“[Ang] nangyari [ay] binuhat ako ni Jake, sabay kami tumalon sa pool.. Kailangan [sa scene na] medyo panic ako. Sa sobrang panic nakalimutan kong mag-inhale bago mag-dive, so pagdating ko dun naubusan na ko ng air. Bigla na lang ako sumigaw ng ‘Cut, Direk, cut!’” said she. Cristine added that Jake rescued her.
Also cast in the light comedy is former PBB housemate Tom Rodriguez, who makes his acting debut in the show.
“It’s really good, really, really overwhelming. Akala ko nakakatakot but my expectations are really, really wrong,” Tom said.
Mark Herras wants to shed ‘bad boy’ image
Starstruck Survivor Mark Herras does not want his “Bad Boy of the Dance Floor” title to encompass even his private life.
“It’s about time na malinis ko rin ‘yung image ko… ‘yung sa babaero image sana malinis na ‘yun,” said the Kapuso dancer-actor, who was recently rumored to have impregnated a member of a new all-girl group.
After two dance albums, “Dance Hits” and “Dance Party,” Mark has released the follow-up; a 13-track compilation titled “The Greatest Moves.”
