4 p.m. — RP Patriots vs Satria Muda BritAma

The Philippine Patriots shoot for their sixth victory in a row this Saturday when they battle Satria Muda BritAma of Indonesia anew in the ASEAN Basketball League at The Arena in San Juan.

Coming off a convincing 77-61 win over the Thailand Tigers last Tuesday, the Patriots are looking to continue their winning roll and keep a hold of top spot in this regional cage league.

While coach Louie Alas has been satisfied with the defense being put up by his team, he is hoping to see more aggressiveness on offense in order to keep the team’s winning fire going.

“We have to be less passive on offense. Basically, our defense is all right but we have to be aggressive scoring the basketball,” said Alas.

In beating the Tigers, the Patriots got another strong play from 6-foot-10 import Jason Dixon, who 19 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks.

But unlike their masterful 74-56 rout of the Indons two weeks ago, Dixon and the rest of the team are expecting

BritAma to have a complete lineup to include center Nakiea Miller who scored 27 points and hauled won 18 rebounds against Thailand last week.

“He was impressive in that game. No doubt with him on their lineup, it will be a much difficult battle than our previous encounter,” said Alas, who is also expecting strong games from BritAma imports Alex Hartmann and Reggie Larry.
