Ampatuan Sr. admitted for medical check up in Davao

DAVAO CITY - Heavily guarded by members of the 46th infantry battalion and Task Force Davao, Maguindanao Governor Andal Ampatuan, Sr. was brought to the Davao Doctors Hospital here for a medical check up.
Lt. Colonel Jose Eriel Niembra, Task Force Davao deputy chief, confirmed that Ampatuan was admitted at 6:30 am Saturday. "He was brought here for a medical check up along with some of his relatives," he said.
Police authorities said that Ampatuan complained of high blood pressure.
This was after the Maguindanao province was put under martial law Saturday morning.
He was invited for questioning on the massive killing in maguindanao last November 23.
