Port gets P3-M cooling facilities
ZAMBOANGA CITY (PNA) – Rep. Erico Basilio Fabian (2nd District, Zamboanga City) has donated over P3 million worth of cooling and ventilation facilities for the use of the Philippines Ports Authority (PPA) in this southern port city.
It was learned that the eight units of brand-new cooling and ventilation system facilities were turned over by Fabian to PPA Zamboanga officer-in-charge Efren Quiñones on Friday in a simple ceremony.
As this developed, Quiñones immediately ordered the installation of all the cooling and ventilation system at the Passenger Terminal Building-1 (PTB-1) for the comfort of passengers while waiting to board vessels enroute to their respective destinations of travel.
The purchase of the cooling and ventilation system through Fabian’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) is one of the solon’s latest projects in this city.
According to Fabian, the travelers will now feel comfortable while waiting for the boat departure at the terminal building with the ventilators now installed.
For his part, Quiñones has expressed his gratitude to Fabian for coming up with such project though the port is within the first congressional district, which is not Fabian’s district.
Fabian said he does not choose an area where to implement the project, citing public service is for all and not only for a particular place.
