There’s a new set of hip and young fashion designers making their style blueprints known. Fashion Designers Alliance (FaDAL) was established early this summer, with a team of nine officers and eight founding members.

Barely a year old, this talented group has already been commissioned as the official designers of the GMA Artist Center for special events, and as the clothing partner of the prestigious Ms. Earth pageant.  Adding to these successful collaborations is FaDAL’s showcase of latest designs alongside the works of the graduating batch of the Philippine School for Interior Design (PSID).

This year’s theme is “Kontempo Pilipino,” with both groups of artists working on traditional colors, patterns, and fabrics associated with a particular province, and giving it a contemporary appeal.  Revisit the tribes of Mangyan, Manobo, Ati-Atihan, and Batak with these artists’ works.
