Truck with P2-M cargo hijacked in Pasay City
Heavily armed men posing as policemen hijacked a 16-wheeler truck of Nestlè Philippines and took about P2 million worth of products early Thursday morning in Pasay City.
Truck driver, Ronnie Malaluan, 29, together with helpers Joie Batoon, Carlo Lenogon, 27, and Jeogenio Camonas, 27, all stay-in workers of Orendain Trading located at Block 5, Lot 10, Old Sucat Road, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City, reported to the police that armed men blocked their path while cruising along Roxas Boulevard near the corner of San Juan St., Pasay City at about 5 a.m.
The victims told police that they came from Malabon City on their way to Parañaque City to deliver the Nestlè products.
They said that while cruising on board their truck with plate number RGE-305, two unidentified men riding in tandem on a motorcycle blocked their path along C-3 Road, Malabon City.
Malaluan told Pasay City Police chief, Sr. Supt. Raul Petrasanta, that when he stopped the truck, two other unidentified suspects armed with high powered firearms and on board a silver Toyota Innova without plate number asked them to alight from their truck.
He said that they were told to board the suspect’s car where five other unidentified suspects were inside while the two other suspects who blocked them drove the truck going to Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
The victims told police that upon reaching said place, they were told to alight from the suspect’s vehicle and left them bringing their truck to an unknown direction.
