Two men landed in jail last Saturday after they were caught in the act of dumping waste in a street in San Juan City, police said Sunday.

Police Officer 3 (PO3) Marcelo Marinas, officer-on-case, identified the suspects as 36-year-old driver Johnny Boy Badlon, and 17-year-old plumber Nelson Casalhay, both residing at Fabella St., Mandaluyong City. Another companion, whose name was not identified, managed to get away.

Marinas said Barangay Addition Hills Kagawad George Aguilar were conducting foot patrol operations with barangay tanods Carlito Baritt and Gaudencio Llagas along P. Guevarra St., at about 1:15 p.m. Saturday when they spotted the suspects about to dump something along P. Guevarra St. corner Loyd George St. Barangay Addition Hills, San Juan City
The two, according to the police, were on board a blue and white Isuzu van with plate number (RJE-727) at the time of the incident.

The barangay officers immediately approached them to also see the content of the bag and upon verification; the two were actually dumping human waste which is a clear violation of San Juan City ordinance Number 4 (series 2007) or an ordinance prohibiting the illegal dumping of human waste in the city.

Marinas said the two were immediately taken by the barangay officers to the San Juan Police Officer for investigation.
