Arroyo is okay, say St. Luke's doctors
President Arroyo is in the pink of health, following her two-day regular medical check-up over the weekend at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City, Malacañang said Sunday.
Press Secretary Cerge Remonde said the President completed her weekend check- up, which was disrupted last Saturday due to the emergency security meeting she convened for the lifting of the martial law in Maguindanao.
“President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has checked out of St. Luke’s. She is in good spirit. Doctors said she is fine,” he said.
Last Friday night, the President was confined at the St. Luke's for a weekend regular physical check-up, which according to Remonde, is part of her wellness routine.
Her two-day medical check-up came six months after the Chief Executive's controversial augmentation mammoplasty at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. Remonde said the President will resume her regular work schedule Monday.
Mrs. Arroyo and her delegation are set to leave the country on Wednesday for the world climate change conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.
