Richard Gutierrez pleased with DOJ decision

Richard Gutierrez is pleased with the decision of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to reverse the dismissal of the libel case he filed against a popular entertainment website.
“Unang-una, gusto ko sanang sabihin na ayoko ng magsalita, but we’re happy na nasa tamang lugar na ang kaso ngayon at nakita na ng DOJ na dapat talaga bigyang-pansin ang kasong ito. Early Christmas gift na rin sa’min ‘to,” he said on “Startalk.”
The entertainment website released an article earlier this year alleging a violent encounter between Richard and another Kapuso talent, Michael Flores, during the birthday party of director Mark Reyes.
The libel case was dismissed for “lack of probable cause” on July 30. On Dec. 4, the justice department, under Secretary Agnes Devanadera, released the resolution ordering the Makati Prosecutor’s Office to continue with the libel suit.
Still, Richard said he is not closing his doors on out-of-court settlement.
“Siyempre Pasko ngayon, and it would be great na magkaroon ng bigayan at pagmamahalan pero 'yon nga dahil nga biglaan 'yong nangyari sa’min at hindi pa namin napag-uusapan 'yong mga possibilities for this case, we still need time to discuss things,” said he.
Sharon has ill feelings for dad’s ‘right hand’
Megastar Sharon Cuneta has ill feelings towards her deceased father Pablo Cuneta’s right hand that, she said, filched their supposed inheritance.
“Merong trusted na trusted si Daddy. Parang right hand niya. Tapos nung nasa hospital siya, nawala siya [right hand]. Di namin alam kung nasaan 'yong mga testamento, 'yong mga mana,” Sharon confessed on “Startalk.”
Although they did not receive their inheritance, the “Mano Po” lead star said her father had dearly loved her and her mother Elaine.
“Walang pagkukulang sa’min si Daddy,” she said.
