Twitter fail: hacked by “Iranian Cyber Army”
Twitter was hacked and defaced, early Thursday (Friday in the Philippines), several web sources reported. For several hours, users who logged into Twitter to check their accounts were greeted with a message supposedly from a group called the “Iranian Cyber Army.”
A screenshot of the defaced Twitter website posted on the technology website TechCrunch showed a page that read in English:

Below the text appeared the picture of a green flag and text that the Fox News website reported as Arabic for “Hezbollah is victorious.” The hackers also wrote in English "U.S.A think they controlling [sic] and managing internet by their access, but they don't, we control and manage internet by our power so do not try to stimulation (sic) Iranian People To.....
Now Which Country is embargo list? Iran? Usa?
We push them in embargo list ; )
Take care."
The website Twitter Status gave a short message that Twitter was “working on (its) site outage” and that Twitter was “working to recovery from an unplanned downtime and will update more as we learn the cause of this outage.”
The update on the Twitter Status also said that “Twitter’s DNS (Domain Name System) records were temporarily compromised but have now been fixed. We are looking into the underlying cause and will update with more information soon.”
Twitter is a social networking and microblogging website that allows users to post on their accounts updates of 140 characters or less.
