The new headsets, namely the Jabra GO 2400 bluetooth wireless headsets and Jabra Biz 2400 corded headset are specifically designed for executives and personnel who need to answer landline calls away from their desks.

Although Jabra has a strong retail niche particularly in the BPO sector and is in fact regarded as an industry leader, the company still feels that it has yet to fully tap the equally strong potential of other office-based businesses. For this purpose, GN Netcom have recently partnered with Wordtext Systems, Inc. (WSI), a tech retail specialist that has been carrying software and hardware brands for the last 25 years.

Ralph Ede, GN Netcom Regional Managing Director for South Asia who was in town to announce the partnership also introduced and demonstrate the new headsets. “Conference calls, for one, have become a way of life in today’s business world," he says. “Many executives end up getting stuck using a landline, a mobile phone or VOIP “soft phones” like Skype. With the Jabra GO 6400, you can enjoy fully mobile conference calls without the hassle of crackling speakerphones, thanks to its multi-use connectivity and touchscreen functionalities.”

With its Dual Microphone Noise Black-out technology, the Jabra GO 6400 series also eliminates overly loud sounds and is therefore ideal even for noisy office environments. It is also compatible with almost any communication device and can be used for up to six hours of talk time and up to 100 meters of distance.

The Jabra Biz 2400 is a more intriguing offering as it is a first of sorts. Describing it as the company’s “next generation high-end corded headset,” Ede says the series includes the first corded headset with built-in Bluetooth connection gold plated contacts for crystal clear talks.

“The USB version of the Jabra Biz 2400 is unified communication ready headset that allows you to take calls from mobile phones and from a computer,” he points out. “Optimized for Microsoft Office Communicator, the 2400 also supports Cisco IP Communicator, IBM Lotus same-time and even Skype and other soft phones.”
