TAYTAY, Rizal – Taytay Mayor Joric Gacula instructed Saturday Superintendent Manuel Pion, town police chief, to investigate reports that a carnival is allegedly being used as gambling den.

Senior Supt. Pion was given one week to prove or disprove the complaints of most residents in Taytay regarding alleged gambling inside the carnival.
Residents of Taytay, in their complaint, said the carnival is allegedly used as front for gambling and is reportedly protected by some policemen.

Mayor Gacula said he gave policemen one week to “clean up or pack up.”

Last Friday, Bulletin tried to get in touch with Gacula to confirm same reports but he said: “Wala pong gambling den sa tapat ng munisipyo.”

It was gathered that same complaint has already reached the office of Governor Casimiro “Jun” Ynares.
