Indian firm invests $2.3 million in travel-hospitality BPO facility
India's leading provider of information technology and business process outsourcing solutions to the travel and transport sector, Inter Globe Technologies (IGT), is investing $2.3 million in the country for its first 400-seat delivery center at Upper McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
IGT, the first BPO specializing in travel and hospitality processes in the Philippines, plans to invest more and expand its local facility to accommodate 1,000 people eventually.
“We are not limiting our capabilities to expand our business here. We are confident in the skills and competencies of Filipino agents, and we are looking forward to successful launch 2009 and further growth in 2010,” declared IGT CEO, Vipul Doshi.
"IGT caters to global clients across six continents. We are building multiple service and delivery centers as part of our global delivery model. Our expansion in Manila is an important addition to our global footprint. It will also help our clients take advantage of global redundancy and service capabilities," he explained.
Aside from its first facility in the Philippines, IGT has four more state-of-the-art facilities in India – two in Gurgaon, one in Mumbai, and one in -Chennai. It plans to establish new facilities in other parts of the world like Romania, Poland, Brazil and Spain.
