Heartthrob Sam Milby is said to be scouting for a new gift for ex-girlfriend Anne Curtis after his original gift idea was botched by TV host Kris Aquino.

Anne learned the gift Sam intended to give her after Kris inquired from stylist Liz Uy, a common friend, if Anne would like to receive a certain gift, which she then identified to Liz. 

Kris went as far as to double-check it with Anne herself who admitted that she likes it very much.

"Kinansel na niya (Sam). And then when I checked with Anne, gusto pala niya. Eh, too late na. And then Sam said, ‘But Ate,why did you tell her?’ Sabi ko, ‘Kasi Liz said ayaw niya (Anne). Anyway, wala na. Si Sam is on his own na (in looking for a gift).’

“Sabi niya ‘I'll do it myself so that it will have more meaning.’ That's what Sam said,” the ever loquacious host shared on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Dec.18.

Earlier in the show, Sam and Anne declared they have not reconciled despite having been spotted together ‘hanging out’ many times over.

"Hindi. We're just enjoying being friends again. Siyempre, we weren't talking for a while noon," Sam explained. 

"Hindi!" Anne echoed. “Hindi kami nagkabalikan. It so happened na pareho lang kaming sabay na naiimbitahan."

The ex-lovers will celebrate Christmas separately as both will be with their respective families.
 
"Kasama ko ang kapatid ko. Dito kami sa Manila," Anne said.

It will be a white Christmas for Sam.

"Sa States ako. Uuwi ako sa states this Christmas. It's my first time since 2004," the heartthrob said.

So what will she give Sam this Yuletide?

"Secret!" Anne exclaimed.

And Sam?

"I have something for her."
