ATR has opened a logistic support center in Kuala Lumpur, which will be available to its operators in the Asia-Pacific region having contracted a global maintenance agreement (GMA). This center, located in the free trade zone of Kuala Lumpur International Airport, will offer ready access to a large stock of equipment, availability of which is guaranteed by the GMAs.

ATR said this will enable more optimized results for ATR operators, by reducing transit time and transportation costs of this equipment. In addition, this new center will efficiently support the development of ATR’s Global Maintenance Agreement offer.

DHL Supply Chain, a logistics company established throughout the world, will manage this center within the framework of a global contract signed with ATR.

Apart from this new center in Malaysia, ATR also has four other logistic support centers around the world, in Paris, Miami, Auckland and Singapore. With this new center, ATR continues to reinforce its presence in South-East Asia, after the opening in 2008 of a new training center, also based in Kuala Lumpur.

ATR’s presence in this region is completed by a Customer Support Center in Singapore and another training center in Bangkok.

Jean-Pierre Cousserans, Senior Vice-President of ATR Customer Services, said the opening of a new center in Malaysia is within our philosophy of getting as close as possible to our customers in order to be able to respond to their requirements in the shortest time.
