Kids are free to roam around the park and enjoy the park’s lush greeneries.

The Holy Book tells us that unless we become like children, we can never enter the kingdom of heaven. A park where hundred of smiles can be found surrounded by the sweet sound of laughter helps stoic souls rediscover the joys of being a child once again.

“Nag-e-enjoy sila, usually makikita mo dito families at magbabarkada na nag-pi-picnic, tapos yung ibang company events dito din ginagawa. Sa weekends madami talagang tao, mas lalo na ngayong December,” said Rachelle Bautista, a worker at La Mesa Ecopark.

Especially this season when smiles are aplenty, the park is an ideal place to spend some quality time with family.

“Dito na lang kami, malapit lang sa amin at saka hindi mahal, presko pa. Baon lang konting pagkain, salu-salo OK na kami, masaya na din yung mga  bata,” expressed Nelson Aguirre who brought his family into the park for the weekend.

Children below three feet can enter the park for free, P20 for students, P40 for Quezon City residents and R50 for non-QC residents.

“Malaking bagay kasi yung presyo, kaysa makipagsiksikan kami sa mga mall, lalo pa lalaki ang gastos namin, eh dito yung entrance lang babayaran namin makakapag-enjoy na kami,” added Aguirre.

Located in Quezon City, the 33- hectare La Mesa Ecopark has now become a spot where kids can enjoy nature and since it opened to the public in 2004, the park has now evolved into something more than just a picnic place.

The latest of these attractions is the horseback riding which minimally costs P50 per ride. There is also the boat ride that gives one a soothing cruise in the lagoon. For water babies and adults too, there is a pool inside the park.

For the more “mature” kids, there are paintball, wall climbing, and rappelling and zip line activities. La Mesa Ecopark also has tour packages that are both educational and entertaining.
