The Aboitiz Transport System (ATS) has garnered several awards from the Bureau of Quarantine Cebu and the Department of Health Region VII during the recent annual awards on the Cleanest Vessel of the Year.

ATS vessels are under the category of Fast Craft Category, Cargo/Passenger Category and Luxury Vessel Category.

For Fast Craft Category, SuperCat 32 was adjudged 1st place for the Cleanest Vessel of the Year and SuperCat 30 awarded 3rd place, beating two other fast crafts companies.

For Cargo/Passenger Category, Cebu Ferry 1 was awarded 2nd place and Superferry vessels got all the awards for the Luxury Vessel Category with SF12, adjudged 1st place, SF05, 2nd place and SF02, 3rd place.

There were five special awards and four were awarded to ATS vessel crews. Ship Health Officer (Nurse Category) was awarded to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Medic, Jockey Lorenzo. Ship Health Officer (Physician Category) was awarded to Dr. Rey Soria of SF05. Chief Steward of the Year was awarded to Mr. Jonar Lecena of Cebu Ferry 1 and Vessel Manager of the Year was awarded to Chris de los Reyes of SF02. (EHL)
