Diane Ventura, ex-wife of Pupil singer-songwriter Ely Buendia, unwittingly stole the limelight at a recent Christmas party by attending the event with a handsome date.

The party, which was tendered for commercial and ramp models at a posh resto bar in Pasig City, literally buzzed with curious whispers as soon as the couple walked in,  holding hands.

Diane’s date is said to be a model. He is tall, dark and handsome albeit a bit younger than Diane.

But it wasn’t only her man that caught the partygoer’s fancy.

According to eyewitness reports, Diane, while flitting from one table to another to greet friends, wore a dress with the price tag still showing!

Our Madame (Social) Butterfly, of course, wasn’t aware of it, and no one had the heart to alert her of, well, the “situation.” The night wore on with that tag flying in the air, even as it became the center of muted conversations.

“How much does her dress cost?” wondered the partygoers, who were “prudent” enough not to take a closer look, but naughtily placed their “bets” in guessing the exact price all the same.

Finally, a guest---one of Diane’s close friends---took her aside and told her about the price tag.

Diane’s reply? “It's okay.”

She then coolly walked away with the price tag still in sight for all the world to see.

Diane and Ely have a son named Eon. Diane remains friends with Ely and still acts as his manager.
