CNN Hero of the Year 2009 Efren Peñaflorida had made his romantic intentions known to actress and ‘Ondoy’ heroine Angel Locsin.

“The Buzz” host Boy Abunda revealed that the Dynamic Teen Company founder confessed on his other show, “The Bottom Line,” that “he has been praying for this special girl for five years.”

Asked about the matter, the Emmy-nominated actress blushed and confirmed that Efren has talked to her Dad about his feelings for her.

“Sinabi ko sa kanya na para sa’kin siya 'yong nakikitang hope ng bansa natin. Mas kailangan natin dito sa Pilipinas 'yong hope at…dahil nga magulo ang buhay ko dahil nasa showbiz ako, ayoko na 'yong mabibigay niya sa mga tao, maapektuhan nang dahil sa’kin.

“So sinabi ko sa kanya 'yon kung ready na ba siya na harapin 'yong mga 'yon,” related Angel, who has been acquainted with Efren way before his worldwide recognition, as she had been supporting his causes.

Angel's offer of friendship for Efren is basically what she also offers ex-beau Luis Manzano, whom Boy bared to have visited her in the dressing room minutes before her interview.

“Sa’kin po mas importante 'yong friendship. Sa ngayon hindi naman ako naghahanap na pumasok sa isang relasyon. Mas gusto ko na okay 'yong relasyon ko sa lahat ng tao,” she maintained.

She recently commemorated the death of her boyfriend, Miko Sotto, who passed away six years ago after accidentally falling from a building.

“Hindi siya mawawala sa buhay ko. Kahit six years ago na 'yon feeling mo napaka-fresh pa rin. [Pero] ano ba naman ang binatbat ng pagmamahal namin sa pagmamahal ni Lord, diba?” the Kapamilya actress related, almost in tears.

In other news, the “Shop & Share” online auction founder beamed at the success of her endeavor with Anne Curtis, which has now earned over a million pesos.
