Body of Catalyn-B passenger found in Bataan

MARIVELES, Bataan – Another passenger of the ill-fated MV Catalyn-B was recovered by fishermen Monday afternoon off the coastal waters of this town, bringing to six the number of recovered dead bodies from the sunken vessel thus far.

Supt. Romell A. Velasco, chief of police of this town, said the body of Michael Almudal Y Cajayon, 34, a resident of Solis St., Tondo, Manila was recovered in Manila Bay by fishermen of the M/B King Mark 2.

Velasco said the victim was identified thru a voter’s ID. He was wearing a life vest with markings “MV Catalyn-B”, indicating that he was among the 22 missing passengers of the vessel, which sank off the waters of Cavite near Limbones Island on December 24 after collding with the fishing boat FB Anatalia.

The body was brought for post mortem examination at the St. Peter Funeral Homes in Barangay Mt View.
