Paco lauds Heaven's upbringing
Former Introvoys drummer Paco Arespacochaga approves of how his ex-wife Geneva Cruz and her second husband KC Montero are raising 13-year-old Heaven.
“Ang usapan namin [ay] kung ano ang batas nila [KC and Geneva] ay ‘yon ang masusunod [para kay Heaven],” said Paco in a short interview aired on “Umagang Kay Ganda,” Jan. 7.
Although he has been based in Glendale, California, for sometime now, Paco reiterates that he has made himself available to his son with Geneva all these times.
“Wala kaming problema [whether] ako o ni Geneva. Heaven can come to any one of us at di kami magkaka-issue.”
It is recalled that Paco said he periodically asks Geneva if he should send her his financial support for Heaven.
“[Sabi ko,] pag kailangan na niya [ng financial support], sabihin niya [Geneva] lang sa akin.
“In my case, I’m not irresponsible. Kasi ‘pag gumagawa kami ng budget ni Tiny [Paco’s third wife], may budget kami para kay Heaven.
“I can confidently say na anytime na may kailangan siya, kay Gene mapunta yun. And if Gene gets to light without needing it, kay Heaven automatically mapupunta yun,” Paco told an entertainment website writer a couple of years back.
Heaven’s name was taken from Paco’s biggest hit titled “Line To Heaven,” which the latter wrote to cope with the loss of his parents.
The other hit songs Paco had penned include “However Whichway,” “Will I Survive,” "Di Na Ako Aasa Pa,” “Kailanman,” and “Calling All Nations.”
Interestingly, Heaven is more interested in becoming a rapper than a drummer or singer like Paco, or actor like Geneva.
