GMA-7’s latest fantaserye “The Last Prince” may well be the last show for Carmina Villaroel as a Kapuso talent.

According to reports, the TV host-actress is poised to move to ABS-CBN as soon as she’d wrapped up work on the Aljur Abrenica-Kris Bernal fantasy series which will start airing on Jan. 11.

To smoothen the transition, our mole reported that Carmina’s character will be killed off in the early part of the series.

Carmina plays Reyna Lamara, the kind-hearted wife of Haring Adorno played by Emilio Garcia. They are parents to "The Last Prince."

Two years ago, Carmina sparked rumors that she’s moving to ABS-CBN after she appeared as guest on "Wowowee." Her manager eventually had to issue a statement to reiterate the actress’ allegiance to GMA-7.

For the longest time, Carmina was part of GMA-7’s successful---but recently defunct---morning TV show "Sis" together with real-life sisters Janice and Gelli de Belen.

Since ABS-CBN started airing its carnivalesque program titled "Showtime," "Sis" has been lagging behind with a two-digit difference in the rating charts.

The show's poor performance in the ratings game reportedly compelled GMA-7 management to pull the plug on it.

Carmina started her career as an ABS-CBN star. She was part of "Palibhasa Lalaki," then the longest running sitcom top-billed by Richard Gomez and John Estrada.
