Krista Ranillo started the New Year with a bang by granting her first official interview in the Jan. 10 episode of “The Buzz” following the controversies that have been hounding her for months on end.

The once media-elusive starlet said she kept silent about the issues, which she described as ones that “turned [her] world upside down,” because “I’m healing. I want to recover. Gusto ko pag humarap ako, ‘yung buo akong tao.”

She doused the hottest, most current issue in the pan that is her rumored pregnancy.

“Obviously I’m not pregnant. I don’t know where it started. I don’t know kung saan nanggaling ‘yung I went to Cebu, na nagtatatalon ako for joy. I don’t know kung saan nanggaling na nakikita ako sa Makati Med.”

Krista even dared supposed whistle blowers to substantiate their claims.

“If they have proof, why don’t they show it? Matapang ako ngayon. I can give you my blood tapos kunan mo ko ng dugo. Ibibigay ko sa’yo kasi alam ko na ang susunod na sasabihin nila kapag hindi lumaki ‘yung tiyan ko, nagpa-abort ako, which is really unfair,” she said.

Another matter she finds unfair is people saying she jinxed “Wapakman,” her movie with Manny Pacquiao with whom she has been linked, into flopping at the tills.

“It’s kind of unfair kasi pag napanood mo hindi rin naman ganun kalaki ‘yung role ko [as] villain,” Krista related. “I don’t wanna blame anybody. I don’t know why it didn’t do well in the box-office. I was praying na sana it will because it’s a project I’m proud of, it’s a project I’m part of. It’s not fair to blame it [failure] on one person.”

Albeit the movie project brought her closer to the whirlwind of intrigues, the starlet said she has no regrets being part of it.

Krista reiterated that Manny did not fund their restaurant in the US because they don’t have one to begin with.

“Wala kaming business. My brother kasi works as a chef. They do catering services pero matagal na nilang ginagawa ‘yun. I heard we have a restaurant. It’s not true,” she clarified..

She attributed her controversial statement “single and heartbroken” in her recent appearance on “Wowowee” to her break-up with long-time boyfriend Dominic Zapata.

“I had a boyfriend for almost eight years and we were engaged. Things happened and then we broke up. I’m just really broken-hearted over that. I’m devastated because of course it was an engagement,” she confessed.

However, what hurt her most was her family getting dragged into the controversies.

“I think any other person masasaktan.. Di bale na ako ‘yung tirahin. I’m very patient. I’m very understanding. Di ako war freak na tao, simple lang ako. Simple things make me happy. Pero pag ‘yung sinasama ‘yung pamilya ko, ‘yun na ‘yung masakit,” an upset Krista related.

Lawsuits which her family previously planned to file will no longer push through, because for her, “pinapasa-Diyos ko na lang lahat.. I get my strength from my family, from God. I always pray. From my friends, my fans…”

The upcoming “Agimat” star laughed off write-ups that she brought her pet dog with her on one of her business class flights.

“It’s just funny. Sorry pero medyo common sense, coz if you bring an animal to the States or any other country, they don’t fly with you. Cargo ‘yun. Excess baggage sila. Ang binayaran ko is ‘yung excess baggage ng aso ko.”

She added: “When I’m here at work, I give it my best. I give my all. When I earn money, nasasaakin naman ‘yun how I want to spend it, if I want to fly or something.”

Asked for a reaction to Jinkee Pacquiao’s remark in a Star Studio Magazine interview that she hates her, Krista gave a terse reply.

“I don’t know what to say. Let’s move on na lang. Ako, I don’t hate anyone.”
