Actress Toni Gonzaga said that though she and Alessandra de Rossi are not close, their taping sessions for ABS-CBN’s “Your Song Presents: My Last Romance” are going smoothly.

“We're very professional...walang tensyon,” she said on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” Jan. 11. 

It is recalled that Toni and Alessandra feuded over Jeremy Marquez years ago. Rumors have it that although Jeremy and Alessandra were a couple at the time, he and Toni were corresponding with each other. 

Alessandra eventually broke up with Jeremy and transferred to ABS-CBN.

For Toni, all that is water under the bridge now.

“Matagal nang tapos 'yon. Matagal na kaming lahat na naka-move on sa issue. Kami (referring to Alessandra) naman, hindi na kami mga bata, mga high school para umarteng magkaaway o magkagalit,” she said.

Toni explained why she and Alessandra have not become close despite working on the same project.

“Hindi naman talaga gano'n na nakakapag-usap...kasi siyempre unang beses na nagkatrabaho eh. Actually, first time ever na nagkatrabaho sa ABS-CBN. Siyempre, hindi maaalis 'yon.

“Iba rin naman 'yong personality niya. Hindi naman siya 'yong ganoon kaagad na nakikipag-close. Very reserved and private siya. So, medyo binibigyan ko lang ng distance. Kung masyado akong friendly, baka magulat siya.”

Toni reiterated that all is well between her and Alex.

“Kasi, in the first place, kung alam kong merong issue or merong something, eh, 'di hindi na sana ako pumayag na makatrabaho (siya). The mere fact na pumayag kami pareho na magkatrabaho sa isang show, ibig sabihin ay wala nang issue.”
