Actress Roxanne Guinoo is reportedly going through bouts of depression these days.

Entertainment columnist Dolly Ann Carvajal said so on her radio show on Jan. 10, adding that Roxanne is rumored to have been in and out of a hospital in Pasig because of the blues. 

People have various speculations on the matter. Some say that if she is suffering from depression, it could be because of the dearth in TV and movie projects. Roxanne’s last TV outing was "Florinda," a suspense-horror which aired late 2009.

Another theory is that she feels bad to have been eclipsed by newer stars all of whom ABS-CBN seems to be prioritizing such as Maja Salvador, Erich Gonzales, and Bangs Garcia.

After "Nagsimula sa Puso," Maja is set to tape a new show, "Impostor," where she is paired with heartthrob Sam Milby. Erich, on the other hand, already has a follow-up to "Katorse" which is "Tanging Yaman" which already premiered last Jan. 11.

In fact, "Tanging Yaman" piloted with a 30.4% based on the overnight ratings of Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS) survey of show from Jan. 7 to 11, which seemed to have elevated Erich to Primetime Princess status (at least as far as the station is concerned).    

Bangs, who made an impact more than two years ago via "Palos," is reprising Zsa Zsa Padilla’s role in the forthcoming soap, "Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal."

Rumors are rife that Bang’s role was initially offered to Roxanne who declined because she did not relish doing kissing and sexy scenes. 

Then again, all is not lost for Roxanne: Just recently, the actress is said to have met up with Star Magic bosses Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) and Ms. Mariole Alberto.

Fans of Roxanne hope that the meeting is for a new TV project.
