Concert Queen Pops Fernandez will no longer entertain questions about her ex-boyfriend Jomari Yllana.

“Parang napagod na ako. Nakahiga na nga [lang] ako sa bahay, controversial pa rin ako. This year, I want to be different. Hopefully, it (the issue) is closed na,” Pops said on the matter during the press conference for her and ex-husband Martin Nievera’s forthcoming concert titled "One Amore Time."

“Can we not talk about it?” she pleaded when Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online asked for her comment on Jom’s recent statement that he doesn’t reconcile with his exes.

On “Juicy” last Jan. 15, Jomari said "Kapag tapos na, tapos na," referring to his past relationships.

When prodded, Pops simply said, “Totoo naman 'yon ‘di  ba? So far, wala pa naman (siyang binalikan)...”

Not that she cares. 

“On my way here, I was telling Martin (Nievera) that I wanted to start the year right. Kung sino man ang nagkamali sa akin o nanakit (sa damdamin ko), I want to forget it. Hindi na naman maibabalik (ang nakaraan). Tutal may pinagsamahan naman kami (referring to Jomari).”

The Concert Queen hinted that all is well between her and Jom.

“Actually, hindi pa siya nag-e-explain sa akin. We’re texting each other, pero not to get back to each other, but for a possible project,” she said.

Meanwhile, Pops is ecstatic over her forthcoming Valentine’s Day concert to be held at the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia on Feb. 14.

During the press conference, Pops and Martin once again played up to their fans, cooing sweet nothings to each other like romantic teenagers would.

“He can now kiss me on my shoulders,” Pops said as Martin planted one on her shoulders. “I think it (the relationship) got better now. We are so over our painful past.”

Asked to describe her relationship with Martin, Pops qualifies the label “soulmates.”

“A soulmate can be described in so many ways. But the mere fact na sobrang dami na ang nangyari...[at] puwede pala kaming maging magkaibigan. That alone, puwedeng masabi na soulmate kami,” explained the Concert Queen.
