From her energetic and flamboyant performances at award shows and events to being the new creative director of Polaroid, and to her hit collaborations with artists such as Beyoncé, Adam Lambert, and Wale, Lady Gaga’s schedule has literally been “gaga” since she began her quest for “the fame.”

And now, her body aches for a “timeout.”

Just an hour before her concert at Purdue University in West LaFayette, Indiana, on Jan. 14, the “Bad Romance” singer “collapsed and passed out” due to breathing difficulties, which led to the sold-out show’s cancellation.

Diagnosis was that Lady Gaga suffered from irregular heartbeat, exhaustion, and dehydration. Her physician advised her to rest for a few days.

She apologized to her “little monsters” via Twitter for “letting them down.”

“Can't apologize enough for how sorry I am. I could hear my fans cheering from my dressing room, I begged everyone to let me go onstage. My stage has complicated mechanical elements, everyone was concerned I'd be in danger during the [two-hour] show, since I had passed out earlier.”

“I hope you can forgive me. I love my little monsters more than anything, you are everything to me,” she tweeted on Jan. 15.

The devastated performer also confessed to have been “crying for hours” because “I would never cancel a show just based on discomfort” as she had performed before with “the flu, a cold, and strep throat.”

Her official website announced on the same day that three of her other gigs—which are part of her U.S. and Europe “Monster Ball” tour—set for Jan. 16-18 are postponed, namely in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Wallingford, and Uncasville in Connecticut. While new dates have yet to be announced, her Indiana show has been rescheduled on Jan. 26.

But there was no stopping for the show-stopper when on Jan. 15 she made an appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” where she sat with the Queen of Talk for an interview and performed a medley of her songs.

Oprah took to her Twitter on Jan. 16, saying how touched she was by Lady Gaga’s guest appearance.

“GAGA! What a great girl. Love her message: BE YOURSELF. Hope you saw the show today,” she enthused.

Fans of the all-around artist gave back the GagaLove via the popular micro-blogging social networking site through the “#getwellgaga” hashtag.

Lady Gaga is set to return performing in New York City on Jan. 24, which she declared as “Gaga for Helping Haiti Day.” Ticket and merchandise sales will all go to Haitian earthquake relief.
