Singer Roselle Nava and Allen Tan exchanged “I do’s” in a simple yet elegant wedding ceremony at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros on Jan. 17.

Wearing a Cecilio Abad creation, Roselle looked truly enchanting as she walked down the aisle to singer Bituin Escalante’s heartfelt rendition of “I Knew I Loved You.”

But it was heartthrob Piolo Pascual’s promised fulfilled that had the bride truly overwhelmed. Piolo’s present to the beaming couple was to sing “The Gift” during the ceremony attended mostly by the couple’s friends and relatives, including Roselle’s “Ang TV” batchmates Linsday Custodio, Jolina Magdangal, and Rica Peralejo.

“Kanina sinurprise kami ni Piolo na nag-promise na kakanta siya kapag ikinasal ako,” Roselle said with joy painted all over her face.

In wedded bliss, Rosell also added, “We’re looking forward to another chapter in our life together. We’re sure maraming-marami pang magaganda na darating sa aming buhay.”

Adding another memorable moment to their life together, the newly-weds rode on a motorcycle to the reception at Palacio de Manila also in Intramuros.

“This is it, honeymoon time,” Rica Peralejo said.

“It’s a beautiful wedding, a beautiful ceremony. I’m so happy for you talaga,” Rica’s boyfriend, Pastor Joseph Bonifacio, commented.

“I wish you two a very, very happy married life. And I pray to God that you’ll be blessed with lots of beautiful children,” Lindsay also wished the couple.

At the reception, the couple also made promises to each other as man and wife.

“I will really take good care of you. I will love you,” said the groom.

“Promise ko, talagang mag-a-adjust ako at magko-compromise para mag-work ‘yong relationship natin nang matagal na matagal,” said the happy bride.

Roselle, 33, and Allen, 32, were in a serious relationship for nine years before tying the knot.
