2AM releases first mini-album

K-pop boy band 2AM launched its first mini-album online Jan. 21, nearly 10 months after releasing their previous “Time for Confession.”
The new album contains six tracks including “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die” and “I’m Sorry I Can’t Laugh for You,” as well as “I Love You,” featuring Baek Chan and Joo Hee of 8eight, and “To Her,” featuring Chansung of boy band 2PM.
The album, released under the Big Hit Entertainment record label, was produced by Bang Si Hyuk, who also wrote the ballad “Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die.” Fans have been anticipating the new album since the first teaser was released online last Jan. 15.
Last year, 2AM was overshadowed by 2PM, another boy band under JYP Entertainment—the same company to which the Wonder Girls belong.
Composed of Jo Kwon, Jinwoon, Seulong, and Changmin, the harmonic K-pop quartet 2AM traces its roots as part of the 11-member boy band One Day together with the members of 2PM. The boy band was eventually split into 2AM and 2PM.
“I'm really excited, and I can’t wait. It’s going to be a good year for 2AM,” a fan posted on the international 2PM/2AM fan forum 2oneday.com.
2AM made their debut appearance in July 2008 with “This Song.” With the release of the new album, 2AM hopes to achieve greater success in 2010.
