GENERAL SANTOS CITY (PNA) – Colleagues and families of journalists who were killed in the infamous November 23 massacre in Ampatuan town in Maguindanao will stage a caravan and lead a peace forum here Saturday to commemorate the second month of the gruesome killings.

Fr. Angel Buenavidez, president of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Sarangani-General Santos (SarGen) chapter, said the activity is part of the continuing actions earlier set by the media sector here to help bring justice for their 30 colleagues who were massacred along with 27 other people at Sitio Masalay, Barangay Salman in Ampatuan town.

“We need to continue to remind our authorities we’re watching and waiting for justice to be served to our innocent colleagues,” he said.

Buenavidez said local journalists and immediate families of their slain colleagues will initially converge at around 7 a.m. at the chapel of radio station dxCP here on Saturday.

He said they would then stage a caravan to the Forest Lakes Memorial Park here, where 13 of the slain journalists were buried.
