Twins Richard and Raymond Gutierrez

Despite sightings of Richard Gutierrez and former girlfriend Georgina Wilson together in Boracay a month ago, the actor stressed that it didn’t mean that they are back into each other’s arms. During his birthday party with twin brother Raymond last Jan. 21 at the Mini Cooper showroom in Global City, Taguig, Richard admitted that he is in love, but with his life!

“I’m very happy with my life and the way things are going. I’m content and I can’t ask for anything more,” he explained.

The newly-turned 26-year-old actor has had a string of successful TV series in the fantasy genre as a super hero of sorts. His most recent was as Zorro. But in romantic drama and comedy, his new series “Full House” also proves his drawing power playing a normal human role (as an actor) for a change. His show with TV love team mate Heart Evangelista has consistently raked in high ratings since it started airing a few months ago.

“My work is doing well. ‘Full House’ is loved by viewers as can be gleaned from its ratings. Also, I’m looking forward to my next project which is of course the return of ‘Captain Barbell’ which we have to make real good and big. And I’m very excited,” he declared.

He is also confident that viewers who enjoyed and followed “Captain Barbell” before would still feel the same and support the new series as they would be presenting a modern day Captain Barbell. He also promises it to be “bigger” in everything – story, special effects, actions and twists!

As far as Georgina is concerned, “what they see is what they get.” Whatever they have, he is keeping it to himself. And if he has a girlfriend, he’ll see if he is ready to share the news with the public and his fans.

“As of now I can only offer friendship,” declared Richard who even described his time in Boracay with Georgina as simply having fun in the sun. “There’s no deeper meaning to it. We just have a deep friendship.”

When Raymond was asked about Richard and Georgina, he said that he is happy to see them together but prays that the public doesn’t pressure them. And that he wouldn’t mind if they’d get back together again.

“She is one of my best friends. She gets along with everybody. She is smart and beautiful. But right now it’s okay that they’re just friends at the moment,” he smiled.

He even cleared his personal relationship with leading lady Heart Evangelista whom he has worked with in “Codename Asero” and now “Full House.”

“We have a clear understanding of what we have and it is a strong friendship. And we don’t want to take it to the next level if we’re not ready for everything. Like we always say, friendship lasts longer rather than rushing into things and ruining it…we’re open to each other which is something special already,” he said.

For 2010, Richard is ready to jump into the “Captain Barbell” project when “Full House” ends. He is already conditioning himself physically and mentally to play once again the Pinoy super hero Captain Barbell. His goal along with the show’s creative team is to outdo their first “Captain Barbell.” Movie projects too are lined-up for him this year.

With regards to his birthday party with Raymond, Richard is hats-off to his brother for converting their friend’s (Eric Cua) Mini Cooper showroom into a bar and dance club in such a short time – two days!

So what’s his birthday wish for his brother Raymond?

“Everybody loves Raymond and I know he is happy. His outlook is always positive and my wish is that he remains the same, good health and for him to continue pursuing his dreams,” he replied.

As for Raymond, his goal in 2010 is to lose weight and get his “slimmer body” back and purchase his own condo unit. His wish for Richard is, “In general I just want this year to be positive for all of us, for my whole family, healthy living and healthy lifestyle. In terms of career, I want Richard to take more risks especially in the movies!”

Though they both, didn’t get each other a birthday gift yet, Richard traded-off his vacation to be Raymond’s special guest in Sunday’s episode of “Showbiz Central” airing every Sunday afternoon in GMA-7. As to what Raymond would like to receive from Richard – “Anything Hermes would do,” he beamed.
