In a workshop for their first film together, not only were their acting chops enhanced, so is Gabby and KC Concepcion’s relationship as father and daughter.

“Sa workshop kami nakahanap ng chance na ikuwento sa isa’t-isa kung ano ‘yung mga sama ng loob na matagal nang nakatago,” Mega-daughter told “The Buzz.”

She admitted to have never dreamed about this movie project with her dad because for KC, “out of this world na siya.”

In a separate interview, the debonair actor shared, in high spirits, how the workshop opened doors for the two of them.

“Kung meron mang pader na nakaharang, nagigiba lahat ‘yun sa pagtatrabaho namin. Saka dahil sa mga nadidiskubre namin sa isa’t isa, mas deep ang bonding namin especially pag nailabas mo na,” Gabby said.

He added: “Nadiskubre ko na mahal na mahal niya ako at ganun din naman siyempre ang nakita niya, na mahal na mahal ko siya. So ‘yung mga ganong bagay kung minsan sa tunay na buhay nahihiya ka pa ipakita.”

Gabby and KC assure fans that nothing but true emotion will come out of them once the film starts rolling.

John Estrada and Janice de Belen’s daughter turns 18

Inah Estrada, the eldest daughter of ex-couple John Estrada and Janice de Belen, celebrated her 18th birthday with a “Grand Hawaiian” theme on Jan. 23 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club.

However, Janice was a no-show during Inah’s special night.

“I’m sad that my mom can’t be here, but I understand because she has work,” Inah told “The Buzz,” a bit teary-eyed.

The second year BS Psychology major does not discount the possibility of joining showbiz as she has already made several appearances on TV and commercials.

“My mom, to be honest, ayaw niya… kasi [ang] showbiz, magulo,” she confessed. “For me, we’ll see. For now, I’m just focused on my studies.”

During her speech, Inah burst into tears when she directed her message to her father.

“Dad, there are a lot of times that I got mad at you… but I just want to you to know that kahit nagalit ako sa’yo, and even though I talk back at you a lot of times because of certain issues, I forgive you and I love you. I hope you won’t do the same thing again,” she said, adding that she is happy and supportive of her father’s relationship with celeb beauty queen Priscilla Meirelles.

Cory Aquino’s ‘watch’-ful remembrance

In celebration of the late President Cory Aquino’s 77th birthday, industrialist Jaime Zobel de Ayala has personally crafted the limited edition Cory Aquino Swatch watches.

The definitive collector’s item was launched on Jan. 24 at the Ayala Museum. Only 801 pieces will be sold, in commemoration with the heartbreaking death of the “Mother of Democracy” on Aug. 1, 2009. Buyers will get two sets of watches, “for him” and “for her,” placed inside a book titled “A Woman Dressed in Sunshine.”

On Jan. 25 (Cory’s birthday), 400 masses will be observed for Pres. Cory, said Pinky Aquino-Abellada, one of her daughters, in an interview on “The Buzz.” The Aquino siblings will be participating separately on those masses.
