Newlyweds Luigi and Patty Muhlach eagerly await the birth of their son a few months from now.  

In their first public interview aired on “Showbiz News Ngayon” on Jan. 26, Igi and Patty admitted they are both “happy and scared” over the idea of having their own bundle of joy.

“Feeling ko [kasi], wala akong alam [sa pag-alaga ng bata],” Patty said.

The two confirmed that they’ll have a boy and that they will soon visit Patty’s parents abroad.

Patty said she doesn’t have cravings like other expectant mothers.

“Ako ang naglilihi eh. Ako ang nagre-request,” Igi quipped.

The soon-to-be-father lauded the all-out support that his father Aga Muhlach has been giving them. 

“Laging nag-a-advise sa amin 'yon eh. Hindi nawawala 'yong pag-advise niya sa amin na lagi akong magsimba. Very supportive naman sa akin ang parents ko eh,” Igi shared.  

Luigi and Patty exchanged “I do’s” at the Hacienda Isabella in Tagaytay on Oct. 24, 2009. The civil wedding was officiated by Mendez, Cavite, Mayor Manuel Romera. Present during the ceremony were Aga, Janice, Charlene Gonzales, Ariel Rivera, Gelli de Belen, and Janice’s children.

It is recalled that Janice confirmed reports about the wedding on “Showbiz News Ngayon” last Nov. 5.

“Yes, Luigi got married. Much as this is a joy, it is also something that my son and his wife consider private dahil hindi naman daw sila artista. We’re all happy and are praying that they have a good life together,” read Janice’s statement.

Out of respect for his son’s privacy, Aga also kept mum on the matter.

“We’ve talked about it. Everything is okay, he [Luigi] is okay so it stops there. Wala sa industriya ang anak ko and I will take it from there.”
