UAAP Football: UST, FEU booters tie
University of Santo Tomas produced a late goal to force a 2-2 tie with Far Eastern University in the 72nd UAAP men's football tournament Thursday at the Ateneo Erenchun Field in Quezon City.
With the prospect of absorbing their first setback in four games, the Tigers went to Nicanor Palacio, who came through with a brilliant effort to tie the game in the 90th minute – just exactly one minute gone after Jason Gustillo gave FEU a 2-1 lead.
With the draw, the Tigers kept their hold of the lead with 10 points, having won their first three games.
FEU took the lead early when Jason Cordova, back from a one-year absence, struck in the 32nd minute before UST's Mario Clarino tied the count in 68th minute mark. — Jonas Terrado
