With data protection ranking as one of the top priorities of Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs), those using two or more computers can professionalize their establishments by investing in servers, stressed Barry Bunyi, Dell Philippines Director and Country Manager.

“A server is a business’ single solution for e-mail, Internet connectivity, internal Web sites, remote access, mobile device support, file and printer sharing, backup and restore, and more an all-in-one package to make their business as efficient as possible especially in these trying economic times,” he explained. “Now is the perfect time for SMBs to invest in it.”

SMBs that store and organize their data in one location allow their teams to access and share files easily, managing business information more efficiently, agreed Prakash Mallya, Intel APJ Account Team Regional Manager.

Employees who share documents between multiple computers risk losing important files and having multiple versions of vital documents. A server will help keep files managed and will provide a centralized location to store and organize important documents, assuring constant access to what they need, when they need it, they noted.

Dell, a leading go-to-resource for SMBs, joined forces with Intel to help businesses achieve efficiency by offering flexibility, choice, and value.

To help growing businesses address these concerns and enjoy the immense benefits of its customized hardware, solutions, and services, Dell launched its new 11th Generation PowerEdge servers the PowerEdge T110, PowerEdge T210, PowerEdge T310 and PowerEdge R510 as part of the company’s Efficient Enterprise portfolio.

These entry-point, one-socket servers deliver business uptime, better collaboration, reliability, and data protection at an SMB-friendly price. Powered by Intel® Xeon® Processor 5500 series, they pack enough power to handle the increased data storage requirements of small to mid-sized organizations.

The PowerEdge series servers are also built to operate 24/7, enable shared access to data for better collaboration and allow remote access for employees, partners, and customers. They also make it easy to move data from a desktop or workstation that is being used as a server to a first real server.

Dell's partnership with Intel aims to offer customers the latest available configurations, and with the Xeon® Processor 5500 series delivers a chip that supports dual processor server and workstation system configurations.

It can also adjust to specified energy usage levels, speed-up data center transactions and customer database queries thanks to new features such as Intel® Turbo Boost Technology which increases system performance based on the user’s needs, and Integrated Power Gates that turn off unused cores to save electricity and reduce heat.

The two companies partnered to explore new ways to address customer needs, Ricky Banaag, country manager of Intel Philippines pointed out. “It’s also important to consider the issues customers are facing when it comes to IT and what Intel, along with Dell is doing is to take the headaches out of IT so customers can focus on what they do best “running and growing their businesses.”

Intel sees its partnership with Dell as a great way for customers to get the power and performance needed to connect a new generation of networked media platforms and improve the way customers work and live.

Together, the two IT giants intend to help growing businesses achieve maximum returns out of their technology investments, increase business efficiency and stay competitive in the face of global economic turbulence.

“It’s a simple concept customers want reliable technology that just works every time. Our consistent focus is on delivering reliable, easy to manage, scalable technology solutions at the very best value,” Bunyi concluded.
