An association of nearly 1,000 lawyers has pledged to support the senatorial bid of Raul Lambino.

Lawyer Galileo Angeles, president of the Lawyers for Accountability, Transparency, Integrity and Good Governance (Latigo), said his group voted overwhelmingly recently to campaign for the Lakas-Kampi candidate.

Angeles stressed that Lambino has been an indefatigable advocate for real reforms and defender of workers’ and farmers’ rights, being counsel to an alliance of transport workers in Northern Luzon and a lawyer for farmers in several provinces in the country.

The Latigo president explained that his members were particularly attracted to the legislative platform of Lambino, which he called “Abakada ng Pagbabago” and covers practically the entire range of issues that confront the Filipino people.
