The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has been asked to act with dispatch on the petition for disqualification filed against Raida D. Papandayan, a candidate for mayor of Tubaran, Lanao del Sur so the townspeople could be guided accordingly when they cast their votes on May 10, 2010.

The appeal was made by Camad Sarip Amigos and Datu Maclis U. Balt, registered voters, taxpayers and residents of Barangay Beta, Tubaran, Lanao de Sur, saying early Comelec action on their petition is imperative to the conduct of peaceful, honest, orderly and credible election in Tubaran.
