Lotto jackpot hits P120-million mark
With no bettor lucky enough to hit the P114.6 million jackpot for Super Lotto 49 on Tuesday, the top prize for tonight’s draw could reach at least P124 million.
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) revealed that the winning six-number combination on Tuesday was 45-43-25-35-21-49, giving out a total jackpot prize of P114,6127,062.80.
The Tuesday draw prize money was P12,629,581 higher than Sunday’s jackpot prize of P101,987,481.
“We hope the Thursday prize money will be bigger than P12 million. Nevertheless, we expect it to reach over P124 million,” said Don de Leon, Chief of Staff of PCSO Chairman Sergio Valencia.
De Leon said lotto sales have been brisk since the jackpot money breached the P100 million mark last Sunday.
“We also expect our Powerlotto jackpot to hit the P100-million mark soon. This Saturday’s prize money will be about P94 million,” said De Leon.
Powerlotto is the latest lotto game which combines lotto and digit games.
A bettor wins the jackpot if he guesses correctly five numbers from a set of numbers ranging from 1 to 55 and one number from a set of “power numbers” ranging from 1-10.
The Powerlotto offers a minimum P50-million jackpot prize but its minimum bet is P50.
A second prize of P700,000 is given to a bettor who is able to correctly guess the five numbers from the 1-55 set.
Meanwhile, Conrado Zabella, PCSO Assistant General Manager for lottery operations, said 32 bettors won P56,000 second prizes each for betting on five numbers from the winning six-number combination of Super Lotto 49.
A total 2,165 will get P1,000 each as third prize while 41,851, who guessed three digits, will get P100 each.
