Heartthrob John Lloyd Cruz shed light on his rumored drinking binges at the press conference for his latest movie "Miss You Like Crazy."

Being very much the nice person that he is, John Lloyd answered the query confidently.

No, he is not an alcoholic but he did acknowledge that he has his fair share of shortcomings.

"Ang maganda kasi roon is that alam mo na meron kang pagkakataon, ‘yong sinasabi nila na, how you rise above it...mas masarap mag-focus doon dahil pagkatapos mong matuto, ‘yung maibibigay mo sa kapwa mo, maibibigay mo sa sarili mo, ‘yun ang magma-matter kaysa sa past mo,” he said.

In reference to his newest movie's title, Lloydie was asked if he is currently and crazily missing somebody.

Initially, Lloydie gave a very “showbiz” answer.

“Nami-miss ko ang mommy ko, friends ko. Marami akong mga kaibigan na matagal ko nang hindi nakikita all over the world. Kahit kuya ko…the last time na nakasama ko siya, about a year ago pa,” he said.

He eventually gave in though—but not to the point that he actually named the person.

“Of course, you miss the good times. We’re still in communication. We’re still good friends. I can’t say I miss her like crazy kasi nagkakausap kami,” he explained.

As to what makes his team-up with perennial screen partner Bea Alonzo click with fans, Lloydie simply credits "chemistry."

“’Di ba dati lagi nating sinasabi na [we have this] chemistry. Hindi namin dini-disillusion ang mga tao. We were able to keep that.

It took all of three years for Bea and John Lloyd to team up again and the latter acquiesced that he did miss her all this time.
