TACLOBAN CITY – Region 8 office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH 8) Regional Director Angelito M. Twaño is now the newest member of the prestigious eight-man Career Executive Service Board (CESB).

This developed after President Arroyo appointed Twaño to the multi-sectoral represented governing body of Career Executive Service Officers (CESO) on January 27, 2010, after Elmor D. Juridico, whose six-year term had already been completed.

The first DPWH official to be appointed to the CESB, Twaño is scheduled to take his oath of office before President Arroyo on February 9 in Malacañang Palace in Manila, where the board will also be holding its 184th meeting.

The Region Eight Administrators League (REAL), the organization of regional directors and career executive service officers in Eastern Visayas, and the DPWH officials and employees welcomed Twaño’s appointment, saying he will make a lot of contributions for the good and welfare of civil service and CESO officers, not only in Region 8 but in the entire country.

The eight-man CESB is now chaired by Bernardo Abesamis.
