Rainmaker bares Asian expansion, introduces latest VoIP software
With its recent acquisition of a large Makati-based call center, the Silicon Valley-based BPO Rainmaker Systems recently launched its Asian expansion plans as well as a new VoIP software to complement its operations.
A leading provider of sales and marketing solutions combining hosted application software and execution services, Rainmaker has recently acquired Qinteraction Philippines, the first BPO company to gain ISO 9001-2000 certification in Asia. Now renamed Rainmaker Asia, Inc., the company has since increased Qinteraction’s manpower complement of 800 personnel with an additional 350 seats of their own.
Jeri Lee Zulueta Ramos, Rainmaker SaaS (software as a solution) and BPO sales director for Asia-Pacific, disclosed that the company intends to add 600 to 1,200 more employees this year that would comprise 40 percent of its total personnel worldwide. She added that the company is looking at opening an additional BPO facility in the country, possibly in one of the next wave cities identified by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology or CICT.
Describing the company’s decision in choosing Manila as the site of its Asian expansion as a "no-brainer," Michael Silton, the Rainmaker CEO who admits to having spent 10 years in India cites several factors such as “friendliest city, excellent infrastructure, very good command of English and major supply of talent.”
The company, whose diverse client base ranges from dynamic start-ups to Fortune 500 firms, also announced the release of Rainmaker Connect, a web-based integrated VoIP solution that Silton says “can provide immediate access to advanced telephony services and increase web conversion rates for any agent, anywhere, any time.”
“When combined with Rainmaker connect, our core services including telesales and integrated direct marketing offer a powerful product and services offering to meet our clients’ call center needs,” adds Ramos.
