So, it’s true after all: Angel Locsin has replaced her manager and discoverer Becky Aguila.

For weeks now, Angel and Becky have been rumored to have severed their managerial ties. It was a favorite topic in showbiz events and it was being talked about in muted conversations.

No one between the two spoke about the validity of the issue though.

Until Angel, in her interview on "Showbiz News Ngayon" aired on February 10, 2010 confirmed that she has indeed bolted out of Becky’s management.

“Ayaw ko lang parang masyadong i-highlight kasi ‘yung sa amin hindi naman issue, eh. Ayaw rin naming maging issue sa iba,” she explained.

Her manager was hurt by her decision but has learned to accept it just the same. Angel cleared that everything’s still okay between her and Becky.

“Nagtampo si Tita Becky, oo, siyempre pero hindi naman kami nag-aaway,” she said.

Angel said it just took a while before she and Becky were able to iron things out.

“Matagal na rin namin itong inaayos kaya lang naghahanap lang kami ng proper time.”

The actress acknowledges Becky’s enormous help in her career.

“Well, sa kanya ako nagsimula. ‘Di naman ako makakapasok sa showbiz kung hindi dahil sa kanya. Sa kanya ako nagkaroon ng daan,” she said.

SNN host Boy Abunda clarified that he’s not the one whom Angel tapped to be her next manager.

“Actually, mga kaibigan, humihingi ako ng pahintulot kung puwede kong sabihin sino ang bagong manager ni Angel Locsin. Pero, hahayaan ko na lang po na si Angel ang mag-announce. Pero hindi po ako. Patunay lamang po na hindi lahat ng usok ay may apoy,” Boy explained.

A source told Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online that Ethel Ramos, manager of Aga Muhlach, is Angel's manager now.
