Lone Luzon bettor wins P201-million Super Lotto pot

A lone bettor from Luzon became richer by P201,473,805.60  when he guessed correctly the six-number combination in the Super Lotto 49 draw Thursday night.

The winning combination – 5, 16, 48, 29, 38 10 , paid the fourth P200 million dividend in the country’s lottery history.

Dr. Larry Cedro, spokesman of the Philipine Charity Sweeptakes Office, disclosed that Thursday night’s total lotto bets reached P148,703,080, one of the biggest recorded sale in the state-run lottery.

A total 94 bettors were able to get five numbers in the six-number series, winning P56,000 each.

On the other hand, 6,426 others will be rewarded with P1,000 each for guessing four numbers correctly and 132,744 more will receive P100 for betting on three numbers.

Lotto top prize will go back to the minimum P16 million on Sunday.

The night’s top prize registered a P26.7 million increase from the Tuesday jackpot of P174,707,251.00.
