TV host Kris Aquino and her husband, cager James Yap, exchanged expensive gifts during their joint birthday party held recently at Felix Restaurant in Greenbelt 5, Makati City.

Snippets of the party was shown on "Showbiz News Ngayon," February 15.

Kris said she was very happy that one of her wishes came true during the party and that’s to have balloons similar to those seen in the hit movie, "Sex and the City."

The couple’s party was well-attended, with Kris’ brother, sister, nephews, nieces, friends and collagues all in attendance.

Kris’s sons Josh and Baby James were also present as with Kris’ ABS-CBN family from “The Buzz” and “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” and James’ Purefoods family.

Also spotted there were director Chito Rono, Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverede, ABS-CBN Channel Head Cory Vidanes, "Showtime" director and creator Bobet Vidanes and ABS-CBN Business Unit Head Deo Endrinal.

Comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas surprised everyone when she planted a kiss on James’ cheek.

“Siyempre, wala naman siyang choice. Love, love, love,” Ai Ai said, laughing.

Kris was adviced by a feng shui expert to throw a birthday party and to cap it off with a glass of wine with her friends to thwart bad luck.

“Binibiro nila akong lahat, 'Sabi mo small party, (pero) buong mundo (nandito).' Lahat ng mga in-invite namin talaga nag-effort na pumunta dito,” Kris said.

Of course, the couple’s gift to each other was among the most talked about topic at the event.

‘Yung camera, that was my gift (to James), tapos lupa,” Kris shared.

The lot, we discovered, is located in San Mateo, Rizal. Kris bought it for James last December.

She saw the property when she taped her soap “Kung Tayo’s Magkakalayo” near the area and she fell in love with it. It was reported that the property was worth P5 million, but many think it is worth more than that.
