The Bureau of Fire Protection in Cavite will mark Fire Prevention Month starting on March 1 with a call for awareness and preparations for the citizenry.

The provincial BFP office under Senior Supt. Armando Custodio is hosting this year’s Fire Prevention Month activities in Region 4-A or the Calabarzon (Cavite-Laguna-Batangas-Rizal-Quezon) area, the most populated region in the country.

Cavite for its part is the most densely-populated province in the country.
Senior Fire Officer 2 Alexander Lara of the Provincial Fire Safety and Enforcement Division said the theme for the month-long activities is "Sustaining Fire Prevention Through Active Community

Participation” and will emphasize the importance of citizenry involvement.

During the month, fire officers will conduct lectures, briefings, information campaign and drills to drumbeat fire prevention and safety in the region.
