Nora Aunor goes under the knife for big 'comeback'
Superstar Nora Aunor underwent cosmetic surgery, an invasive make-over if you will, to improve her appearance in preparation for her grand return to local cinema.
Nora’s beauty enhancement was performed at Shinagawa Lasik and Beauty Clinic in Tokyo, Japan. She was accompanied by her son Ian de Leon and her latest benefactor, writer-businesswoman, Aster Amoyo.
The Japan trip is Nora’s first out of the USA in recent years.
The superstar stayed in the US for some time after being cleared in a drug case. Despite that, she has already successfully earned her green card.
“Masaya ako talaga. Ang tao daw, ang kaibigan mo, mas nakikilala mo ‘pag nasa ibang lugar kayo,” she said in a report aired on "Showbiz News Ngayon," December 15.
The aesthetic procedure performed on Nora was her first. It involved work in her "laugh lines and eyebags."
The Superstar said she refused to have her eyes, which she considers her "greatest assets," operated on. She also turned down having to undergo liposuction and bust enlargement operations.
Nora is now Shinagawa Lasik and Beauty Clinic's main endorser.
The beauty center is expanding its services in Asia, which will include the Philippines.
Nora expressed profuse gratitude towards TV host Boy Abunda, a self-confessed Noranian.
“I love you Kuya Boy (Abunda). Alam kong mahal n’yo rin ako. This time talaga, makikita ko talaga ang pagmamahal n‘yo ‘pag nakita ko talaga kayo dito,” she said.
The Superstar is expected to arrive in Manila in April to start a new phase in her career. Several projects are already being lined-up for her.
While in the US, Nora performed in a few concerts in several key cities. She also appeared as guest in other shows with other Filipino performers.
