Natural born killer

I didn’t realize it was Grammy season up until my twitter feed was filled with updates about this widely-watched awards ceremony. Some people were tweeting a blow-by-blow account of the awards show and some asked what our favorite looks were from the red carpet. To answer that, one of my favorite looks, I’d have to say, was Fergie’s. She looked stunning in that simple Emilio Pucci minidress, while her natural makeup lived up to her minimalist theme that night. I’m a big fan of the “no makeup” look, especially come summer time. But, although it’s called such, there is still some effort put into achieving this unassumingly sexy look. So, with a little help from Avon, here are three simple steps to achieving Fergie’s natural Grammy look.
1. After cleansing the face, apply concealer to dark spots and discolorations. Avon recommends its new Ideal Shade Concealer Stick (P280) to help conceal those darn blemishes.
2. Apply either the Avon Ideal Shade Natural Liquid Foundation (P530, if you have dry skin) or Ideal Shade Dual Powder Foundation (P499, for those with oily skin) to even out the face’s complexion. What’s good about the Ideal Shade collection is that it has Preciselight Technology, which adjusts to one’s natural skintone under any light. So no need to worry if your face is too dark or too white.
3. Lastly, for a velvety finish, lightly dust Avon’s Ideal Shade Loose Face Powder (P499) to set the foundation. Sweep a black liner around the eyes and nude lipstick to those puckers, and you’re ready to go!
